The University of Alaska EPSCoR program is conducting an outreach effort in conjunction with it’s research focus on permafrost and infrastructure. The outreach effort has been termed the “Permafrost Health” program and consists of installing permafrost temperature monitoring systems along the Yukon River at village school locations. The team of two will travel by snow machine. The expedition is due to commence March 4 and will take approximately two weeks.
